For Cibao Meat Products, “Tradición de Calidad” (Tradition of Quality) goes beyond the quality of our premium Hispanic meats—it defines our dedication to the communities that have embraced us since 1969. As a family-owned company, we take pride in honoring our heritage, connecting with our community, and celebrating together every chance we get.
That is exactly why we were incredibly proud to bring the flavor—and the prizes—to the massive 116th Street Festival in Washington Heights.
On June 7, 2025, the Cibao team joined thousands of New Yorkers to celebrate Puerto Rican heritage, music, and culture. Amidst the salsa music and street food, our team hosted an exciting on-site tournament under the Cibao tent. We were thrilled to present the ultimate champion, "Big Sheldon," with a giant check for the $1,000.00 Grand Prize!
Because the 116th Street Festival is a premier celebration of Boricua pride, our booth proudly highlighted our El Bori chorizo. Created to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Puerto Rico, El Bori delivers a bold flavor crafted with high-quality pork and a carefully balanced blend of traditional spices from the Caribbean. It was the perfect pairing for an unforgettable day of community competition and cultural celebration.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the tent, competed in the tournament, and celebrated with us! To see more photos of the competition and our grand prize winner, be sure to follow us on social media.
