As a family-owned business, we never forget where we came from. In 1969, our very first 1,000-square-foot facility opened right here in Washington Heights, NY. That is why we were incredibly proud to return to our roots and celebrate at the Dominican Taste Festival.
The Cibao team joined thousands of food lovers, chefs, and community members in Washington Heights for a massive celebration of Dominican gastronomy. Amidst the incredible aromas filling the streets, our team hosted a bustling tasting tent where we served up sizzling samples of our original classics: Campesino Salami and Cibao Longaniza.
We loved reconnecting with the neighborhood, sharing stories with long-time fans, and watching new generations fall in love with our authentic recipes. We know that food is the ultimate storyteller. Supporting the Dominican Taste Festival allows us to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of the Dominican Republic, preserve the traditional flavors of the Caribbean, and say "thank you" to the vibrant Washington Heights community that gave our family business its start over five decades ago.
