That’s why it was such a privilege to hit the streets of Paterson for the Dominican Parade of NJ and celebrate Dominican pride with our incredible community!
On September 7, 2025, the Cibao team joined thousands of proud community members in Paterson to celebrate Dominican heritage. We went all out this year with a custom-built parade float designed to look like a vibrant, traditional blue-and-white Caribbean home, complete with a front porch!
Our team walked alongside the float in coordinated traditional colors, wearing straw hats, dancing to the music, and celebrating alongside the community and the parade royalty.
We know that food and culture are deeply intertwined. Because Cibao was founded in 1969 by an entrepreneur with roots in Santiago, Dominican Republic, supporting events like the Dominican Parade of NJ is incredibly personal to us. It allows us to honor our heritage, preserve the culinary traditions of the Caribbean, and give back to the neighborhoods that have welcomed us to their tables for three generations.
