Bronx- NY- Cibao Meat Products, a company dedicated to manufacturing the best Dominican-style sausages, such as Campesino, Induveca, Don Filo, Salami Del Pueblo, Pavolami, Arenquelami and the famous Longaniza Cibao salami, among others, celebrated this July 4, United States Independence Day, the 7th Cibao Meat Interleague Softball Cup. The Induveca team from the Manzanilleros League won the Cibao Meat Interleague Softball Cup dedicated to Daniel “Quemaito” Reyes for his outstanding participation as a Molinete and Chata softball player.

Game details: In the first game, the teams from the “Centro Deportivo y Cultural Dominicano” faced the “La Liga Norberto de la Cruz” team, with Salami Don Filo. The Norberto de la Cruz league won 16 runs to 2, qualifying for the 7th Interleague Cup. The second game was between the San José de Ocoa Association, “Bravos de Ocoa” against the league of the Association of Montecristeños residents in USA, “AMORE”, AMORE won 9 runs to 4.
For the third game, AMORE faced the Manzanilleros League team, Manzanillo won 7 runs to 6, qualifying to compete for the Interleague softball cup.
The decisive game for the 7th Cibao Meat Products Interleague softball cup was held between the Induveca team from the Manzanillo League and the Norberto de la Cruz league from Montecristi. The Induveca team from the Manzanilleros League won with a score of 14 runs to 4. We congratulate manager Mr. Ramon Rojas for leading his team to victory and winning this tournament.
This is the second cup won by the Manzanilleros team, and with it, they are tied with the Norberto de la Cruz and the Centro Deportivo y Cultural Dominicano leagues, each with two championships or two of the Cibao Meat Products Interleague Softball Cups.
The Norberto de la Cruz league came in second place, the Montecristeños Association (AMORE) came in third, fourth place went to the Ocoeños, and fifth to the Centro Deportivo y Cultural Dominicano league.
The event took place at Franz Sigel Park located at Grand Concourse and 153rd Street in the Bronx, NY. This year's cup was dedicated to Daniel, Quemaito, Reyes for his outstanding participation as a Molinete and Chata softball player. The ceremony and game highlights for the cup were broadcast live from 5:00 PM on Canal América, 1014 Optimum.

The public enjoyed a cool afternoon, good games, and a tasting of Cibao Meat products. Everyone present sampled Inca Kola products such as soda and "El sol" malt, while the "Compal" company presented different fruit juices. Mega 97.9 FM was present with DJ Alexis Ortiz, who entertained the afternoon with his music.

Mr. Daniel Quemaito Reyes; was born in the Dominican Republic in 1965.
From a very early age he began to show his preference for baseball and at just four years old he began to play. In his adolescence he stood out in Center Field and several sports scouts wanted to sign him to bring him to the major leagues, but a back injury prevented it.
Daniel arrived in the United States in 1983. He played baseball for several years in big cities, then went on to represent New York in many Molinete, Fuetíao and Chata softball tournaments.

In 1993, the “Amistad League” was created, which had several teams to play baseball and softball. Years later he created the “Dominican Sports Foundation in NY.” This foundation is made up of a group of children's teams ranging from 4 to 17 years old.
El Quemaito has stood out for the great friendship he maintains with major league baseball players, among whom we can mention Hall of Fame members such as the great Yankees closer, the Panamanian Mariano Rivera, and the great Dominican pitcher Pedro Martínez. Also noteworthy are Dominican sluggers Alex Rodríguez and David Ortiz. In short, there are many baseball stars that Daniel has brought to share with the children to motivate them and keep them in sports.
Daniel Reyes, el Quemaito, is also a sports commentator, he is a person who loves and has given everything for sports, he is a tireless fighter who has given his support to everyone who identifies with this discipline.
